[edit] Plot
The series premise was to feature a different kidnapping each season, with different cast members. The first season starred Timothy Hutton and Dana Delany as an affluent New York couple whose teenage son (Will Denton) is abducted. One of the characters who was intended to be consistent from season to season is an ex-FBI operative (Jeremy Sisto) offering privately contracted services to retrieve kidnapping victims.
In the first season, the show told the story from the discrete points of view of the parents, the investigators, and the kidnappers.
