Originally a spin-off of Beverly Hills 90210, Melrose primered on fox during the summer of 1992, Originally the show was about Eight friends living in a apartment complex in the West Hollywood area of Los Angeles, the characters were all in their early 20's and living life on their own for the first time. The Shows original characters were Billy, Alison, Michael, Jane, Rhonda (the one and only minority character on the show), Sandy(replaced after 12 epsoides for the character of Jo. the remanding characters were Matt, and Jake. However during the shows seven year run the show reached a soap opera like story lines, including the bombing of the apartment building. Also season Five saw the departure of 90% of the cast, this begin however in season four with the departure of the character Jo. In the shows final season, season seven the show returns to its roots having all the characters live in the apartment complex. However after low ratings Arron Spelling decided to add Heather Locklear to play Amanda during the middle of season one. The shows plot was very simple the show opens will Alison's weird roommate sneaking out on her in the middle of the Night

Set in the West Hollywood area of Los Angeles the Melrose district. the shows title was supposed to be the street the apartment building was on Melrose Place, however in real life the street has no living residents just businesses.
Shooters: the local bar and hang out the was the employment location for many of the characters, the character of Jake would buy the bar in Season Three. Waitresses and Waiters: Alison, Sydney, Matt, Sandy. Jakes Brother and sister in law both worked at the bar as well in Season's Three and Four.
D&D: The advertisement agency was the second place of employment for the characters of Billy, Alison and Amanda. Also in later seasons Samantha, Sydney, Brooke(Pre-Sex and the City Kristen Davis)

Carter- Jo's boyfriend and father of her son- dies after she shoots him in self defense ? Hanson- Jake's Half-brother Haley Armstrom (Husband of Alison, Brooke's dad, drowns after he fall off his boat in Mexico Kimberly Shaw- Diagnosed with a brain tumor, later dies of an anyerism.
